Princess Kaguya was born from bamboo. A man who'd heard of her beauty snuck into her bedchamber. Shocked, she began to beat him, viciously, until he no longer drew breath.
"What should I do? I didn't mean for this...." The princess was flustered, but her grandparents did not scold her. "You did nothing wrong. He was just weak, that's all."
"A man doesn't deserve to have you unless he's strong."
"I'm sure a tough man worthy of taking you will appear one day." Princess Kaguya took their words to heart.

竹から生まれたかぐや姫。その美しさを聞きつけた男性が、姫の寝所に忍び入りました。驚いた姫はその男を激しく打ち据えます。気付けば、男は息をしていませんでした。
