Intro Scene[]

Parrah:
Check out this mess!

Noya:
Stuck on a strange world!

Parrah:
Is this coincidence... Or fate?

Noya:
Ah, well. You know what's going on here.

Parrah:
But, anyway!

Noya:
Welcome to Fishing Star, the world of fish and fishing!

Parrah:
The Library is full of stories.

Noya:
So something like this ain't much of a surprise!

Parrah:
Fishing Star has been available for ten years.

Noya:
Ten years of curses... A tidal wave of 'em!

Parrah:
Revolting fish curses that fill the seas!

Noya:
Free this world from the threat they pose!

Parrah:
And then... Keh hee hee hee!!

Verse 1 - Normal[]

Before I knew it, I was in an
unknown world.
I was alone.

No, let me correct that.
There was one other being with me.
One who could be called neither
a person nor a puppet.

"Pinocchio?"
"Snow White?"
The nervous young boy cautiously
made his way towards me.

"Have you seen anyone else?"
"I think it's just the two of us."
"...That's strange."
"Yeah. And this world is..."
I turned to look at my surroundings.

My entire view was crowded by fish.

We were in the ocean.

Parrah:
You're finally awake.

Snow White:
Is this your doing?

Noya:
Does it seem that way?
What do you think?

Pinocchio:
I think that fish is glaring at us...

Parrah:
Catch it.

Pinocchio:
Huh?

Noya:
It's time for some fishin'.

Parrah:
Fish! Fish!
Fish! Fish! Fish!

Pinocchio:
W-What?!
Y-You mean like this?

Parrah:
Leather boot?
A common catch.

Noya:
Try to catch 'em by surprise.

Pinocchio:
By surprise?
I'm no good at this...

Snow White:
It would be faster to snatch them directly from the water.

Parrah:
Okay! Try to catch them with your bare hands!

"...I wonder how Little Mermaid would feel about this?"
Troubled by the thought, I glanced down at our catches.

According to Parrah and Noya, this world is from the story
Fishing Star.

It's been around for over 10 years,
but an abnormality had occurred.
And we were sent to deal with the problem...

"You can return to the Library once you
find the Tuna Prince," they said.

I knew better by now their words were full of lies.
But I had to obey. I can't move unless given orders.

Because I'm puppet.

Verse 2 - Normal[]

Snow White:
The Tuna Prince...
None of it makes any sense.

Black Tuna:
Hello there! I'm...

Black Tuna:
Osteichthyes Actinopterygii
Neopterygii Acanthopterygii...

Black Tuna:
Percomorpha Perciformes
Scombroidei Scombridae
Thunnus...

Parrah:
Ah, It died.

Noya:
'Tis the fate of our enemies!

Black Tuna:
So close...
I almost had it...

Verse 3 - Normal[]

Pinocchio:
The scent of the sea brings back memories.
In my story, I was once eaten by a giant fish...
But, there's nothing wrong with this, right?

Crimson Seabream:
Whoa! A human!
I've got a few questions for ya!

Snow White:
Alright.

Crimson Seabream:
What's the meaning of life?

Crimson Seabream:
Why was I born?
What do these dead fish eyes mean?
Death...

Parrah:
Another insta-kill!

Noya:
Well done!
Now he'll have all the answers he craves.

Parrah:
And we saved time to boot!

Verse 4 - Normal[]

Snow White:
If this is my task, I won't falter.
I'll have every single one of them caught.
But it's harder than I thought...
They're so slippery!

Verse 5 - Normal[]

"You can't just plunge yourself at the fish
like that. You'll scare them away."

"Fishing requires patience."
"Amateur."
"No skill whatsoever."
"..."
"Snow White! Our targets are the fish! Not them!"
Pinocchio restrained me as I trembled with rage.

That's right.
Hurting them won't bring us closer to returning home.
This is also for my author...

"Oh, another one got away. Man, you suck at this."
"No! Getting rid of them comes first!"
"Control yourself, Snow White!!!"

Snow White:
Why haven't we found the Tuna Prince?

Pinocchio:
We caught so many, too...

Parrah:
Want a hint?

Pinocchio:
You'll give us one?

Noya:
Maybe once we get some delicious fish in our tummies.

Parrah:
Yeah, then we might slip a word or two.

Snow White:
OK! Cooking is my specialty.
I was trained by dwarves.

Pinocchio:
Then let's catch some tasty fish!

"Which fish do you think tastes the best?"
"Umm... I think tuna is probably the best.
Oh! But there's some really great shark dishes
out there, too!

But if we're talking about smaller fish...
Hm... Maybe goby?
Mackerel is a good one, too.
Sillago really depends on the season."

I raised all the delicious fish I could think of.
Just then, Snow White smirked.
"You have your own autonomy, after all."
"Huh?"
"Your answer was more detailed than expected.
To be honest, that helps a lot."

Taken aback by her words, my face flushed red.

Verse 6 - Normal[]

Pinocchio:
On our way, we came across some tuna.
"Why are they always swimming?" Snow White asked.
I responded with, "It's just instinct."
Instinct... Do I have any instinct?

Verse 7 - Normal[]

Snow White:
In the ocean was a storm of silver.
"Alone we are weak. That's why we work together to survive,"
laughed a school of sardines.
...For us, that privilege does not exist.

Verse 8 - Normal[]

Pinocchio:
We met a salmon trying to reach its hometown.
"I gotta get back to the river I came from.
Then I can die peacefully."
Hearing those words. I suddenly began to miss Gepetto.

Verse 9 - Normal[]

Snow White brilliantly handled the food
we gathered from running about.

From the side, a giddy pair of puppets clinked their tableware.
Hurry up with it!”
“If you don't get a move on...”
"Their friends will come to the rescue.”

At that very moment, a school of fish swarmed around us,
preparing to attack.

“Snow White!”
“I know!”

Holding tight to our catch, we drew our weapons.

Parrah:
Did you catch anything tasty?

Noya:
Time to eat our fill.

Parrah:
Sashimi? Pan-pried?
Fish and chips, maybe?

Noya:
So many choices!

“Aaah! That was delicious!”
“I'm full."

Having taken all the good parts, all that was left
were the appalling remains.

I brought the meat to my mouth.
For this was the burden to bear for taking their lives.

“I don't like leftovers...” Pinocchio said.

I didn't have to say anything
before he gave into the pressure.

After reluctantly taking a bite, his eye lit up at the taste.
Tuna, sardines, salmon...
One by one, I ingested all the lives we took on our journey.

Verse 10 - Normal[]

"We'll tell you wher you can fine the Tuna Prince."
promised Parrah and Noya.

"Just keep goin' atta'way. There you'll fine the big lunker."

"And if we kill him, you'll send us back to our own world?"

"Yes, ma'am. Absolutely."

"Actually, maybe. No promises there."
The pair snickered. Their antics were nothing new.

"Let's move, Pinocchio."
"Right behind you, Snow White."
The boy followed me like a puppy, and together we pushed forward into the sea.

Tuna Prince:
A-As prince, I have to lead my allies!

Parrah:
Oh? Is he beggin' for his life?

Noya:
But we can't go back until we defeat him.

Pinocchio:
Snow...

Snow White:
Do not fret.
We have a purpose.

Snow White:
Yes... It's all for my master!

Snow White faced the Tuna Prince and swung her weapon down.
It might have been my imagination, but her hands seem to be
trembling

I turned away from the the scene.
I thought he would have been thrown into agony, but...

"...What?"
Without notice, the world began to distort.
As it did, Snow White collapsed.

The Tuna Prince was saved.
"How could this...?"
"I think you got mercury poisoning."
"This is what happends when people get involved in shady business."
"You mean... it was the food earlier?"
And then, my consciousness sunk into a deep blue...

Ending Scene[]

Parrah:
Those puny fish look pretty pissed...

Noya:
Will those two really be okay?

Parrah:
Of course they'll be okay!

Noya:
How annoying...

Parrah:
This fishy world spins on.

Noya:
Can you handle it?

Verse 1 - Hard[]

“Where am I...”

I opened my eyes to what appeared the bottom of the sea.
Collapsed next to me was Pinocchio.
My aching head reeled through the threads of my memory.

That’s when I remembered, I failed in killing the Tuna Prince.

“Parrah! Noya!”
I called out to the wicked puppets, but there was no response.

“It's not like them not to appear when called...”

Still unclear of the situation, what sounded like a person’s
scream reached my ears.

Pinocchio:
Was that a human scream?

Parrah:
Is this thing... human?

Noya:
Or a fishing rod?

Parrah:
Either way there's somethin' odd about it!

Snow White:
Never mind that.

Snow White:
These fish...
Are they controlling people?

Pinocchio:
On the contrary...
They're eating them!

Instead of returning to our own world, we
arrived to a place even more sinister.

A world where the roles of fish and
humans were reversed.

Here, people would be caught for sport and eaten,
just like the fish in our world.

In their eyes, us humans are only seen as slaves or a meal.
And from what I could tell, it was horrifyingly enjoyable to them....

Verse 2 - Hard[]

Snow White:
I see now.
There's two types of humans in this backwards world.

Verse 3 - Hard[]

Humans who offer themsevles as slaves to live.
And humans who'd rather be hunted as food than be held captive.

Verse 4 - Hard[]

I refuse to be the slave of food of another.
That would be betraying my author.
I will survive and return to whence I came.

Verse 5 - Hard[]

We were caught on the day of a carnival.
It was a day celebrating the fishes’ retake
of their beautiful ocean from the humans.

The same day we failed to kill the tuna prince.

“Now you guys are food.”
declared a pitiless slimy fish.

Raw, grilled, deep fried.
The possibilities make my mouth water.”

These we stood, displayed at the human market.
Pinocchio’s body trembled in fear. Then, astonishingly on his own accord...

“I don't wanna be fish food!”
he screamed, before taking off and leaving me behind.

Snow White:
Wait, Pinocchio!

Pinocchio:
I-I'm sorry, Snow!

Snow White:
I'm not angry.
It happens.

Snow White:
But we are in greater danger alone.

Snow White:
We must get though this together.

Pinocchio:
Okay!

I thought I might have angered Snow White for running off like that.
But instead she said, “We’ll get through this together.”

Us enemies working together?
It seemed strange to me. But...

“Pinocchio?”
“Oh, it's nothing...”

I couldn’t stop the tears gushing from my eyes.

Verse 6 - Hard[]

Researching this world comes first.
If Dorothy were here, surely she'd have a field day.
If only I was good for something, too.

Verse 7 - Hard[]

Black Tuna:
Something’s off about the fish here.
They appear to be ill in some way.

Verse 8 - Hard[]

Pinocchio:
What the fish are suffering from is “mercury poisoning.”
A consequence of comsuming human meat...

Verse 9 - Hard[]

Just as humans get sick from eating fish.
Fish get sick from eating humans.

Even if the food chain is reversed, the events will remain the same.
If this is supposed to be story, what is it the author is trying to relay?

Poetic justice.
Just desserts.

Reap what you sow.
The words ran in my head.

But it was not enough to stop me.
I'm not here to mull over this author’s intentions.
I am to resurrect my own author.

That is the reason I live.

Snow White:
For the sake of my master!

Pinocchio:
What about me?

Pinocchio:
Why am I doing this?

Apparently humans have become an endangered species
due to their large consumption.

So to them, we’re a precious meal.
It’s imposible for us to escape easily.
...Ironic, isn’t it?
Our worlds truly have flipped.

“Regardless, I won't give up.”
Snow’s next words were commanding.

“We’re going to destroy their king.
Control will turn to us once their leader is gone.”

“You really are the protagonist, Snow.”
“...I'm not the only protagonist, You are, too.”
Facing each other, we both laughed.

Verse 10 - Hard[]

We continued our search for the king.
The king...
In other words, the Tuna Prince we failed to kill that day.

After the battle, he become king and conquered the humans.
That is why I must take full responsibity and finish what was started.

“The king will appear in the parade. You should strike then.”
Thanks to the information provided by our rescuer, we hid in the
belly of a shark we killed.

Inside we waited.
Quiet and patiently we swallowed our breaths, waiting for the start of the parade.

Tuna King:
What do you think of this world?

Tuna King:
Do you understand us better now?

Snow White:
Sorry.
I have no answers for you.

Pinocchio:
What about me?

Tuna King:
That's fine.
Just don't forget.

Tuna King:
Show some respect when fishing.

The Tuna King disappeared.
And having completed it’s role, the story began to close.
I still dont have the faintest idea what the moral to this story was.

“A world where our roles were reversed...”

I was reminded of the nightmares from our world.
What if our roles swapped with theirs?
If that were to happen, then I...
“...There’s no point thinking about it.”

Having found the door back to the library,
I said my goodbyes to the crumbling world.

“...What?”
I opened my eyes to darkness.

As I laid on the ground, I noticed a pair of
familiar puppets peeking at me.

“Did you think that was it?”
“It ain’t over yet”

“But, Snow White killed the king...”

"She did, buuuut...”
“Ya still gotta deal with the rest of 'em.”
I followed their wooden fingers,
pointing to a group of quivering fish.

“If you don't kill them all...”
“You might end up as fish food again.”

“No... Anything, but that...”
And with that, I picked up my weapon.
