The person I've been observing is an old man. He wanted to be struck with desire again, for a young woman. I helped him out. I thought she would be happy to know the passion she inspired, but it seems I was wrong in that assumption, as the young lady in question quite literally ran screaming.
The person I've been observing is a young girl. She wanted to do something to help her hard working mother find a new husband. I helped them out, filling she and her prospective beau with a towering, consuming desire for one another. They ran away together, abandoning the girl, who later died of hunger. A regrettable miscalculation.
In the course of using my powers, I:ve left countless people ruined by their lovers. I've raised countless people to be heights of passion, as well, to cherish their lovers, and treat them like royalty. Truly, there is no end to the desire that can dwell in a human heart, nor any end to the myriad different ways such stories reach their conclusions.
Who shall I observe next? Just a brush of my power can cast countless tragedies in the world, and who will drown in that sea of sorrows? What expressions will they wear as they slip beneath it's surface? That, at least, is well worth observing.More Cinderella Jobs[]
