Book 2 Chapter 5

Verse 1[]

How many footsteps had it been?
Long had the dark tunnel continued,
step-by-step at Parrah and Noya's urging.
There at the end, a stone gate.
Through it, a large shared space.

There, once again, characters
were gathered from each story.
Protagonist met protagonist.
Parrah and Noya began to scream,
much to the confusion of those assembled.

"You've made it! The world's end!"

"You better believe it! This is the
border between
dreams and reality!"

Alice and the others could feel it.
A cold, creeping dread...

What... is this place?

Dream or not, I'm sleepy.

Hansel. Hee hee... Gretel?

Ugh. Not this again.

At once, they all stopped — frozen solid.
They sensed an unfamiliar presence.

Black shadows oozed from the ground,
gradually taking the shape of men.

"Hehe! He's here! How wonderful!"
It was the worst nightmare of all — Satan.

Heh. Freaks.

What's that smell? It woke me up.

After
Satan dissolved into ash,
disappearing as quickly as he'd appeared.
But a moment later,
cracks began to open in the
Library world.

Parrah and Noya began to dance.
"Kee-hee-hee! So it begins!"
"Welcome to the New World!"

The fissure opened and
within was a new world.
Giant towers of stone,
moving iron contraptions,
soaring mechanical birds...
It was as if a —

"Welcome... to the horrors of
Reality."
